Just as Mila Kunis is receiving a large amount of media attention, she opens her mouth and proves she doesn’t deserve any of it. The former That 70s Show actress was just named “The Sexiest Woman Alive” by Esquire, and in excerpts from the interview she gave the magazine released yesterday, she showed less gratitude and more religious bigotry and political intolerance.

According to Yahoo, and picked up by Twitchy.com, the Esquire interview with Kunis took a decidedly angry tone when she began ranting about Jesus and Republicans. Apparently, any mention of the “J-word” seems to put the tiny star on edge, especially if it comes from Republicans. “The way they (Republicans) talk about religion is offensive,” she said. “I may not be a practicing Jew, but why we gotta talk about Jesus all the time?”

Her statements are not only hateful, but woefully misinformed. The 2012 election cycle dialogue has been relatively Jesus-free, as voters and candidates focus more on the economy and ObamaCare. It is also much more secular than 2000 and 2004, when George W. Bush’s faith was often discussed. The only attention religion seems to have this year comes at the mention of Mitt Romney‘s Mormon faith.

Kunis did not seem to have a problem with Jesus when it came to earning a paycheck. Her role in the Denzel Washington film The Book of Eli centered around the her character helping to protect the last remaining copy of the Bible in an apocalyptic wasteland. Verses from the Bible were quoted throughout the film, but Kunis never complained in interviews about it.

Kunis also has a problem with Republicans in general, quoting the common Democratic talking points without citing specifics. “The way that Republicans attack women is so offensive to me,” she said. “And it’s baffling to me how a poor person in Georgia can say, ‘I’m a Republican.’ Why?” In typical Hollywood fashion, Kunis seems out-of-touch with regular people and what is important to them. It’s a long way from her native Ukraine, where both expressions of religion and political opinion were oppressed.

She is also likely getting her political briefings from noted political analyst (and current boyfriend) Ashton Kutcher, who waxed on about politics when he wasn’t cheating on Demi Moore. Kutcher also made headlines when he criticized America’s reliance on oil while he drove a semi-pickup hybrid called the Navistar CXT that sported a 70 gallon tank and got 7 miles to the gallon.
